The San Diego Law Library and the Chula Vista Public Library, will partner to present a free program entitled “The U.S. Housing Crisis: Options for California Homeowners.” The program is scheduled for Thursday, August 25, from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Civic Center Branch Library, 365 F Street.
The free program for attorneys, realtors, and the public will cover the options homeowners have when they owe more than their home is worth, and/or when they are in financial distress. Topics include loan modifications, short sales, bankruptcy, and tax ramifications. Also covered will be deeds in lieu, refinancing, litigation, voluntary foreclosure, and more.
