The Chula Vista Recreation Department will be hosting a week long, low-cost camp at Harborside Park, 670 Oxford Street during the Chula Vista public schools fall break. The camp, with a fee of only $5, will be held Monday-Friday, October 3-7, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. In an effort to keep youth ages 6-12 years physically engaged in their community during their fall school break, the cost of the camp is primarily supported through the Chula Vista Police Activities League (PAL-Chula Vista). “We are grateful to have a partnership with PAL – Chula Vista. They have always been strong advocates for youth in need of recreational opportunities,” said Recreation Director Buck Martin. Two registration sessions are offered: Saturday, September 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Haborside Park, 670 Oxford, and on Tuesday, September 27 from 2:30-9 p.m. at Parkway Community Center, 373 Park Way.
