The Chula Vista Recreation Department will be hosting a needs assessment public forum for users and potential users of the Norman Park Senior Center. Since September 2011, the center has increased its hours of operation. Now the center staff would like to discuss the progress being made as well as receive public input on future programs and needs.

“Recent trends of an increasing aging population require us to constantly evaluate our current services offered as well as meet the needs of the newly retiring or partially retiring Baby Boomers. Research shows that the variety of senior services offered ten years from now will be vastly different than the current levels of operation,” said Buck Martin, Director of Recreation.

The needs assessment public forum will be hosted at the Norman Park Senior Center, 270 F Street, on Monday, January 9, from 2-4 p.m. There will also be an online survey posted January 9 at 5 p.m. specifically targeting the Baby Boomer generation.
