The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Closures include all City recreation facilities, libraries, and offices. The Chula Vista Nature Center will be open normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 16.
Public safety will not be affected by the holiday schedule. Emergency 9-1-1 calls and police and fire stations will provide regular daily 24-hour services. Public works services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis.
In addition, trash service provided by Allied Waste in the city of Chula Vista will not be affected. All offices will reopen on January 17.
