| The Chula Vista Animal Care Facility (CVACF) is participating in World Spay Day on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012. The CVACF will provide free spay or neuter procedures for 50 cats or dogs that are two months or older and are in good health. This free service on World Spay Day is available to low-income pet owners who are residents of Chula Vista.
CVACF is participating to help San Diego County animal care providers meet the goal of spaying and neutering 2,012 animals by Feb. 28.
Chula Vista residents can call now to schedule an appointment to bring in a dog or cat on World Spay Day to the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility. Participants will need to provide proof of residency (e.g., utility bill, rental agreement, or mortgage statement) and income verification (e.g., SSI, AFDC, or MediCal). This event is limited to 50 pets on Feb. 28 and is open only to low-income Chula Vista residents. Call (619) 691-5226 to sign up.
