As flu season shifts into high gear this fall, the Norman Park Senior Center, part of the Chula Vista Recreation Department, is partnering with the San Diego County Public Health Department and Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista to offer a Flu Shot Clinic for adults. Scripps Mercy Hospital nurses and volunteers will administer flu vaccines at the Norman Park Senior Center, 270 F Street, on Friday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on a first come, first served basis. There is a recommended $2 donation for the service, and a limited supply will be available.

Along with a nutritious diet and regular exercise, flu shots are especially recommended for people with chronic illnesses, weakened immune systems or those over age 65. For more information, please call Norman Park at (619) 691-5086.
