Chula Vistaís Commission on Aging will be hosting a transportation forum to offer information on the current levels of transportation services offered to senior citizens in the City of Chula Vista. The transportation forum will be held on Thursday, November 29, at 11 a.m. at the Norman Park Senior Center, 270 F Street. Officials from local agencies, including SANDAG, MTS, FACT, and others will be attending. The purpose of the forum is not only to educate senior citizens on current services, but to also perform a needs assessment survey on what needs are not being met as well as future needs for the aging population.

The forumís target group is seniors living in Chula Vista, but all are welcome to attend, especially caregivers and family members that assist a senior citizen. National, state and local surveys identify that transportation is consistently one of the top three issues affecting senior citizensí daily activities. For more information, please call (619) 691-5087.
