|In an effort to promote shopping locally, the City of Chula Vista, in cooperation with community businesses, is distributing an additional 50,000 “Shop Chula Vista Now” incentive cards. Home owners will receive the free, re-usable cards in their Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste) trash bills this week.
The “Shop Chula Vista Now” campaign is a comprehensive sales and marketing program to promote shopping in Chula Vista. The campaign strives to have shoppers visit local businesses thus keeping sales tax revenues in their community.
Those who do not receive a card in the mail, can pick one up at any of the three Chula Vista libraries or any Chula Vista recreation center. Other card pick up locations include the Otay Ranch Town Center (2015 Birch Road inside the security and management offices) or the South Bay YMCA, located on 1201 Paseo Magda in Chula Vista. Or download a card directly at the ShopChulaVistaNow.com Website.
Participating Chula Vista stores, shops, restaurants, hotels, beauty salons, gas stations, and other businesses have the colorful Shop Chula Vista Now “Urban Orchard” decal in their windows. This serves as a reminder to customers they can receive a “Shop Chula Vista Now” discount. The colorful, eye-catching graphics will be instantly recognizable to customers as
they match the graphic on the incentive card. In addition, The ShopChulaVistaNow.com website identifies all participating businesses, their locations and their “Shop Chula Vista Now” discount offers.
Interested merchants who wish to be added to the campaign should log on the ShopChulaVistaNow.com Website for further information on how to participate.
