|Enjoy a casual evening under the stars with wine, hors d’oeuvres and music while helping to support the Chula Vista Public Library. On Saturday, April 27, from 5 to 9 p.m., the Chula Vista Public Library Foundation (CVPL) will host “Bon Appetit: Celebrating Food, Wine and Our Libraries” at Otay Ranch Town Center in the food pavilion near the Otay Ranch branch library. Several area restaurants and food vendors, excellent vintners, great music, a silent and live auction will entertain guests (21 and older). Besides wine and food, there will be samples of champagne, beer, and tequila.
“Thanks to our generous sponsors and the library lovers of Chula Vista, this annual event supports a worthwhile cause – our Chula Vista Public Library,” said Betty Waznis, Library Director. “We hope the community will celebrate with us for an evening of good music, great food, and excellent wine.”
In addition to the fabulous silent auction items, there will also be a live auction for VIP ticket packages to two concerts at Sleep Train Amphitheatre, and a grand prize raffle will be held for a $1000 shopping spree at Otay Ranch Town Center.
Tickets for the evening are $40 per person and can be purchased at the three City libraries, First Bank, located at 2314 Proctor Valley Road, or at the door. Tickets for the grand prize, at a cost of only $5 each, can be purchased in advance with no need to be present to win.
