This Saturday, March 15, the Wounded Warriors will be having a Soldier Ride for approximately 65 wounded warriors with various injuries and disabilities. Using special adaptive hand cycles, trikes and bicycles for the ride, the event helps restore their physical and emotional well-being. The ride begins at 9 a.m. at the Olympic Training Center and ends at noon at the same location.

Community members are encouraged to come cheer on the Wounded Warriors at two Chula Vista locations: the Olympic Training Center, 2800 Olympic Parkway, and Salt Creek Recreation Center, 2710 Otay Lakes Road. Soldier Ride raises awareness for our country’s wounded warriors and gives the public a chance to honor these men and women.

Chula Vista is one of 18 cities nationwide hosting the ride. The Wounded Warrior Project is recognizing its tenth year in their mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. More information can be found at, or regarding the Soldier Ride at
