Free lunches and snacks will be offered during spring break to children 1-18 years of age at the Otay Recreation Center and Parkway Community Center. The program coincides with the spring break for children attending Chula Vista public schools.

Beginning Monday, March 24, through Thursday, April 3, the lunches and snacks will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis Monday through Friday at the centers with the exception of Monday, March 31 (City holiday), and Friday, April 4 (district offices closed). Dates and times are as follows:

Otay Recreation Center, 3554 Main Street, lunch from 12:30 1:30 p.m., snacks from 3-3:30 p.m

Parkway Community Center, 373 Park Way, lunch from 12-1 p.m.

Food items scheduled to be served include pizza, chicken patties, burritos, sandwiches, fruit and milk. The spring break free lunch program is sponsored by the U.S Department of Agriculture in conjunction with the Chula Vista Elementary School District who will prepare the food.
