Extended Hours (Evenings and Sunday) Announced for Pipeline Project in Chula Vista Beginning April 13

Over the last several months, construction crews of the Sweetwater to Lower Otay Pipeline Relining Project have been rehabilitating segments of the pipeline in Chula Vista. To complete the project, the crews may need to work extended hours until 10 pm in the evening on Monday through Friday, and on Sundays from 8 am 10 pm. Residents in the area of SR 125 to Hunte Parkway may see lights or hear vehicles and workers above ground as they enter or exit the pipeline portals.

Work crews will point the lights away from homes and do their best to minimize noise. This work will not affect delivery of water. The extended hours should last approximately six to eight weeks.

Once this project is complete, more than 39 miles of pipeline will be improved, extending the life of water delivery pipelines throughout San Diego County. For more information, please call the toll-free project information line at (877) 682-9283 Ext. 7005, or email CIPinfo@sdcwa.org.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
