Chula Vista is proud to partner with the Friends of Chula Vista to offer the Elementary Learn to Swim Program. This community service is designed to provide CVESD students with an opportunity to participate in swimming lessons. The Kaiser Foundation has donated $100,000 through their Operation Splash, and more than 1,600 fourth grade students have participated in this program. The goal of the program is to teach all children how to be safe in, on and around water. For more information about this program or to make a tax-deductible donation to the Elementary Learn to Swim Program, please call (619) 691-5099.

Chula Vista staff provide water safety presentations to students through the Aquatic Safety Awareness Program (ASAP). The Recreation Department is committed to teaching Chula Vista residents of all ages how to enjoy, cherish and be safe in the water.
