Location: Emory Cove, South San Diego Bay
Sponsored by: Port of San Diego

The San Diego Audubon Society invites volunteers to help restore sensitive coastal habitat in San Diego Bay, a globally Important Bird Area. This event will take place on Saturday, January 8th from 9am -12pm, in collaboration with the San Diego Oceans Foundation and the Port of San Diego. We'll be planting up to 500 plants at Emory Cove to create enhanced feeding and resting grounds for our feathered friends. You don't need any prior experience, just a willingness to get your hands dirty!

Wear old work clothes, long pants, hat, boots or sturdy shoes and use sunscreen. We will provide gloves, tools, water and snacks.

Please RSVP to Shannon Dougherty at dougherty@sandiegoaudubon.org or 858-273-7800 x101. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian-signed waiver to participate - these can be requested in advance from Shannon or downloaded from our website.

Drive past the work site, make a u-turn at Rainbow Drive and head north on Silver Strand Blvd until you reach the work site. See Google map here. Lost? Shannon can be reached at 619-550-9529 the day of the event.
