Storm Water Pollution Prevention

Why should you be concerned about storm water pollution? Because everything that flows down our streets and through our storm water drainage system will also flow through your neighborhood parks, canyons, creeks, lakes and rivers, along your walking trails, through your golf courses and other recreational areas. And it all ends up in the San Diego Bay.

This means that when you allow pollutants like trash, chemicals and pet waste-- just to name a few-- to flow into the storm drain, you’re hurting our delicate aquatic ecosystem for fish, birds, plants and people.

The weblinks above will help you understand how, by changing just a few of your every day habits and making better choices,  you can make a difference in keeping Chula Vista Clean.
