 Students of the Master Composter Program receive a comprehensive education in the composting process and then share their experience and knowledge with the community.
The Master Composter training is a six-week course taught with hands-on instruction, lectures, and discussions that cover:
- Multiple methods of composting
- Reduction/elimination of pesticide use
- Soil health
- Water conservation and water quality issues
Upon graduation and completion of 30 hours of community service, program participants receive their certification and are then qualified to teach the others through workshop participating and community events.
