Landfill and Yard Waste Passes:  Single Family Residents Only

Chula Vista single-family households that have a current account with Allied Waste Services are entitled to two free landfill passes and two free yard waste passes per calendar year. The passes are good for 60 days.  You can request passes via phone, fax, email, or in person.  Passes may be picked up at the Allied Waste Services office or be mailed to your service address. Their office is located at 881 Energy Way. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Consider using one of your free annual yard waste passes whenever you are recycling an exceptionally large amount of yard waste.

When you go to the Otay Landfill to use your landfill pass you will be sent to the Convenience Center located at the main entrance. It is open Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Convenience Center has boxes designated for recycling specific material types. Load your vehicle to make separating and recycling these materials easier.  Materials recycled include concrete/asphalt, dirt, rock, metals, appliances, yard waste, wood waste and mixed paper/cardboard.
