GoldenThe Chula Vista Animal Care Facility encourages owners to always spay and neuter their pets. There is a serious pet overpopulation problem in San Diego County. By spaying or neutering your pet, you can be part of the solution!

We offer limited appointments for low cost public spay/neuter surgery for residents from any zip code. The cost is $75.

Income qualifying residents from Chula Vista, National City, and Lemon Grove may qualify for FREE!*

Animals must be two months or older and be in good health.

Here’s how it works:

Come in to the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm to sign up.

Drop off your dog or cat to the CVACF (130 Beyer Way) at 8am on the date your dog or cat has been scheduled for surgery.
Pick up is usually between 2:00 - 3:30 pm. After 3:30 pm, boarding charges will apply

*You will need to provide proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, rental agreement, or mortgage statement) and income verification (e.g., SSI, AFDC, Medical, WIC, EBT)
