2019 SUHSD Parent Symposium

The Sweetwater Union High School District is proud to host the 2019 Parent Symposium & Community Resource Fair, Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Montgomery High School from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. focused on Embracing our community to ensure a stronger future. Our event is targeting parents and students of middle and high school.

Our symposium will present workshops and resources that will improve family wellness, increase high school graduation rates and access to higher education resources. Presentation strands offered to parents and students will be related to the following: Equity in education, Cyber Bullying, Success in College, Micro-Aggressions, Restorative Practices, Trauma Informed Care, Teen Depression, Building Relationships, Overcoming Failures, and more!.
Additionally, our community resource fair will be attended by partner agencies providing resources and information to our families. Additionally, several local colleges and college admission and outreach programs have confirmed their attendance (SDSU, UCSD, USD, PNLU, SWC, City and Mesa College).
