Coronavirus COVID-19 UPDATE

The health and well-being of Chula Vista residents during the COVID-19 outbreak remains our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution, and in accordance with State Guidelines issued regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the City of Chula Vista will modify operations. For detailed information please visit chulavistaca.gov/coronavirus.

Many City of Chula Vista operations continue despite City facility closures. Here is a list of City Services you can access online. The City Hall Complex (except for the Finance Counter), Public Works, City Recreation Centers, the Norman Park Senior Center and Chula Vista Public Libraries are closed until further notice. This closure includes library, cultural arts and recreation programming, as well as youth and adult sports held at local parks/fields. Critical Public Safety Operations continue. The CVPD lobby is open for limited services.

Parks and trails are open for limited use from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking lots will be open but restrooms, sports fields, gazebos/picnic tables and playground equipment remain closed. Face coverings and social distancing required. For more information regarding the Coronavirus, please visit: www.chulavistaca.gov/coronavirus

PLAN FOR TOMORROW, TODAY ST. PAUL'S EDUCATIONAL SERIES

As senior care providers, we’re no stranger to getting frantic calls from seniors and family caregivers in “crisis mode” with no plan for their care needs and no idea where to start. This is exactly why St. Paul’s Senior Services developed our “Plan for Tomorrow, Today” workshop series. We want to help seniors and caregivers navigate and plan for their future BEFORE a crisis hits.

The second workshop in our series will cover Financial and Care Planning on Saturday, April 27 at St. Paul’s PACE in El Cajon at 9 am. We’re excited to welcome two knowledgeable speakers to guide us through these topics (Full Bios Attached):

• Financial Assessment and Planning for Future Care. Presented by Yvonne Amrine, Amrine Law, Estate Planning and Elder Law Practice
• Types of Insurance: What is Covered in Terms of Care? Presented by Jean Soderberg, Insurance Eligibility Coordinator at St. Paul’s PACE

We will also be providing one FREE St. Paul’s Planning Binder per person/household, which includes valuable planning information, essential documents, and organizational tools to help seniors and caregivers stay on top of their care needs.

If you, a client, a caregiver, or a family friend would benefit from attending this workshop, please RSVP to me or Linda Spence at lspence@stpaulseniors.org or call (619)239-2097. Please see the attached postcard with the full list of workshop topics, dates, and locations.
