The City of Chula Vista is updating its Parks and Recreation Master Plan which represents the City’s commitment to comprehensively respond to the park and recreation facility demands of current and future residents. As the guiding document for the City’s parks and recreation system, the Parks and Recreation Master Plan acknowledges past park planning efforts through the identification of existing park and recreation facilities; serves as the blueprint for future park development; and identifies the locations of future park sites as well as the locations for specific types of recreational facilities.

Residents can learn more about the draft document at two presentations. The first one will be held at Montevalle Community Park Recreation Center, 840 Duncan Ranch Road, on Wednesday, January 17, at 6 p.m., and the second one will be held in the City Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Avenue, on Thursday, January 25, at 6 p.m. For more information or to make comments on the plan, contact Mark Caro, Landscape Architect, via email, or U.S. Mail addressed to Mark Caro, Development Services Department, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91910, or by voicemail to (619) 476-2385, no later than January 30, 2018.
