CHULA VISTA ENGINEER RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED AWARD
Eddie Flores, Principal Traffic Engineer for the City of Chula Vista, has been awarded the grade of Fellow member by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). The grade of Fellow is the highest designation by ITE and is presented to those who have attained significant professional stature.
The Institute of Transportation Engineers is an international membership association of transportation professionals who work to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users and help build smart and livable communities. Founded in 1930, ITE consist of more than 15,000 members such as transportation engineers, transportation planners, consultants, educators, technologists, and researchers working in 90 countries.
In Southern California, only a few agencies have more than one ITE Fellow in their organization. Chula Vista is one of those exclusive few with the award to Flores and previously selected Fellow member Frank Rivera, Principal Civil Engineer for the City. Flores has been employed by the City of Chula Vista for one year and Rivera has been with the City since 1984.
