Register now to run, walk or stroll at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center (CVEATC) on Saturday, May 19, for the 10th Annual Chula Vista Community 5K Fun Run! Participants have the opportunity to run along side Olympians through the exclusive Olympic Village, located at 2800 Olympic Parkway in Chula Vista. The CVEATC, Friends of Chula Vista Parks and Recreation, Chula Vista Recreation Department, Aquatica SeaWorld’s Water Park, and other sponsors have joined efforts and are partnering in the event to benefit the Chula Vista Recreation programs and services. Your participation will help support free after school health and wellness programs for youth in Chula Vista.

Gates open at 6:30 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. After the race, there will be a community expo, silent auction, an opportunity drawing, as well as a pancake breakfast for $5 supporting the Chula Vista Police Activities League (CVPAL).  A non-profit community-based organization, CVPAL supports local less fortunate and at-risk youth.

Schools, groups, clubs and business are encouraged to participate as a team. Parents are invited to bring children in strollers as well. Please note that pets are not allowed at the Training Center. Registration is $25 per person for ages 13 and up and $5 for ages 4-12 through May 17. Children three and under are free. Fees will increase slightly on May 18.  Registration includes your entry, a Fun Run t-shirt, and a swag bag. For more details and registration information, visit
