City of Chula Vista offices, including City Hall and all administrative departments, will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025.

Essential public safety services such as police, fire, and emergency response will continue to operate without interruption. Public Works Department services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis. Residents are reminded that while City offices are closed, many services such as bill payments, permit applications, and report filings are available online at https://www.chulavistaca.gov/.

Trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day. Those who have collection on Monday will be collected on Tuesday and so forth for the week. Library branches, pools, and recreation centers will also be closed on Labor Day, reopening with normal hours on Tuesday.
