City of Chula Vista offices and facilities, including animal services and library branches, will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. 

Essential public safety services such as police, fire and emergency response will continue to operate without interruption. Public Works Department services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis.  

Residents are reminded that while City offices are closed, many services such as bill payments, permit applications and report filings are available online on the City’s website. 

Waste collection will be delayed one day. Pickups scheduled on or after the holiday will take place the following day. To learn more about the collection schedule, visit the Republic Services website.
