LED Holiday Lights at No Cost

Community members in Chula Vista will have two opportunities to exchange up to three strands of incandescent holiday lights for an equivalent number of energy-efficient, multi-colored LED holiday lights. LED lights use up to 90% less energy, are cooler to the touch, and last up to 100 times longer than incandescent lights. The 15-foot light strands contain 50 bulbs and can be used indoors or outdoors. To participate in the exchange, community members must bring their old lights and present a copy of their current SDG&E bill or their California ID. The two local lighting exchange events are:

*Saturday, November 20
12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Otay Ranch Town Center (north lot near food pavillion) | 2015 Birch Road

*Saturday, December 4
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Memorial Park (before the Starlight Parade) | Third Avenue & Park Way

For more information, please visit www.chulavistaca.gov/clean or call (619) 409-3893.

This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by SDG&E, under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
