|Free lunches will be offered this spring break for children 1 - 18 years of age at the Parkway Community Center in Chula Vista. The Parkway Community Center will offer the first-come, first-served lunches during Chula Vista city schools spring break. “Our Recreation Department is grateful to offer this important program during the spring break,” said Recreation Director Buck Martin. According to the program guidelines, no food can leave the building.
The lunches will be offered Monday through Friday April 11 through April 22 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Parkway Community Center, 373 Park Way, (619) 691-5083.
This Free Lunch Program during the spring break is offered through cooperation between the USDA Healthy Families Program, the Chula Vista Elementary School District and the City of Chula Vista Recreation Department. Donations for the Parkway Community Center staff to host the program have been graciously given by the Chula Vista Emblem Club and private donors.
