Chula Vista Celebrates 14th Annual Festival Cinco de Mayo

Get festive with your family, friends and neighbors and go for a day of fun at the Festival Cinco De Mayo. The free festival is returning for the fourteenth year to downtown Chula Vista on Sunday, May 8, ÖMotherís Day!

The community is welcome to join the festivities on Third Ave. from E to G Streets from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Every year, the event increases in popularity bringing up to 30,000 visitors to enjoy a full day of family fun and activities.

This year, the agenda includes entertainment on four stages, artisan booths, salsa tasting contest and authentic food from Mexico and around the world. The event also is featuring a Kidsí Fun Zone with non-stop amusement for children, including carnival rides, inflatables, bungee flying, and a rock-climbing wall. Also, because the event falls on Motherís Day this year, moms take the spotlight at a special Red Carpet Treatment Tent. Inside, they will receive VIP treatment, be pampered and pick up a customized goodie bag in honor of the special day.

Check out the full stage schedules at www.thirdavenuevillage.com to ensure that you don't miss a beat.

The Festival Cinco De Mayo is sponsored by Cox Communications. For more details or vendor information, please call the Third Avenue Village Association at (619) 422-1982.
