Meeting to Discuss Neighborhood Park Wednesday

The public is invited to attend an information meeting regarding a new 3.9-acre neighborhood park in Chula Vista. The meeting will be held at the South Chula Vista Library in Room “B” located at 389 Orange Avenue on Wednesday, May 25 at 6 p.m.

The location of the park to be discussed is adjacent to the South Chula Vista Library. As the City concludes the planning stages of the park improvements, staff is asking to residents to attend an information presentation regarding the new neighborhood park.

At the meeting, City staff will provide information on the funding of the park and give specifics on the park design and activities planned. Staff is also looking for public input on the name of the park. Residents may submit a form suggesting their ideas in a “naming competition.” Details of the competition will be provided at the meeting. Or if residents cannot attend, they may submit their naming ideas at: www.chulavistaca.gov/NamePark.
