Become a CVAS foster parent!
Our Foster Program provides a life-saving opportunity for animals in need by offering them a temporary, loving home while they wait for their forever family. Fosters play a crucial role in helping animals recover, learn, and adjust to a home environment, increasing their chances of finding the perfect match.
As a foster, you will provide temporary care, love, and attention to kittens, puppies, dogs, and cats who may need extra help. This includes basic care, socialization, and working through medical or behavioral issues, all while receiving full support and guidance from our team. Fosters are key to saving lives and creating a better future for these animals.
Whether you're fostering for a short-term stay or long-term, your commitment will make a lasting impact on the lives of countless animals. Join our program today and be a hero for animals waiting for their forever home!

What does a foster parent do?
A foster parent provides a temporary and loving home for a shelter animal. They are responsible for feeding, grooming, exercising, and socializing the animal, as well as bringing them to veterinary appointments when needed. By helping the animal build confidence, learn good behavior, and adjust to a home setting, foster parents greatly increase their chances of being adopted into a permanent home. As advocates for these animals, foster parents play a crucial role in promoting their adoption, helping to find the perfect match for each one. Additionally, they provide valuable insight into the animal’s personality, preferences, and needs, which aids in making the best adoption decisions.
What is does CVAS provide?
