The Chula Vista Animal Care Facility encourages owners to always spay and neuter their pets. There is a serious pet overpopulation problem in San Diego County. By spaying or neutering your pet, you can be part of the solution!

We offer limited appointments for low cost public spay/neuter surgery for residents from any zip code. The cost is $75.

Through grants from the State of California, HEART of Chula Vista and the ASPCA we are able to provide Spay/Neuter services to income qualifying residents from Chula Vista, National City, and Lemon Grove may for $10!*

Here’s how it works:

On the 2nd Tuesday of each month we open the surgery spots for the following month. Spots fill up quickly so we encourage you to come in then. After that you can come in to sign up, but spots are filled on a first come, first served basis.

On surgery day you will drop off your dog or cat to the CVACF (130 Beyer Way) at 8am on the date your dog or cat has been scheduled for surgery. Pick up is usually between 2:00 - 3:30 pm. After 3:30 pm, boarding charges will apply

*You will need to provide proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, rental agreement, or mortgage statement) and income verification (e.g., SSI, AFDC, Medical, WIC, EBT)
