MISSION STATEMENT:
To provide high quality legal services to the City of Chula Vista in order for the City to operate in a lawful and effective manner, safeguard taxpayer resources and to improve quality of life for City residents.
OBJECTIVE:
The Chula Vista Office of the City Attorney serves as legal counsel to the City Council, all City Boards and Commissions, the City Manager, City Clerk and all City departments. The Office's primary responsibility is to provide these clients with the legal services they need to develop and implement City policy and to deliver City services in a lawful and efficient manner.

City prohibits private posting of signs in public rights of ways
The Board of Ethics advises and makes recommendations to the City Council on all matters relating to potential unethical conduct.
The Board of Ethics only has the authority to hear complaints regarding violations of the Specified Prohibitions set forth in Chula Vista Municipal Code section 2.01.030(C).
The Charter Review Commission serves as a resource to advise and make recommendations to the City Council and the City Manager on issues affecting the provisions of the City Charter.
