ROLE AND FUNCTION
The purpose of the Mobilehome Rent Review Commission is to provide an independent review of the disputes over rent increases in mobilehome parks within the City of Chula Vista. The Commission provides advice to the City Council and the City Manager on matters relating to mobilehome parks; adopts rules and regulations to administer hearings to determine whether a park owner's rent increase is in excess of the applicable cost of living increase; acts as the "due process" unbiased decision-maker regarding mobilehome park rent disputes.
