The Safety Commission works in conjunction with the Engineering Department to conceive and develop ideas and suggestions to contribute to the improvement of personal, traffic or property safety within the City.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

On March 14, 1995, the City Council adopted a policy granting additional authority to the City Engineer on matters of public safety heard before the Safety Commission. The policy states that most of the decisions reached at these meeting are considered final. An appeal process was included in this new policy and staff may be contacted regarding the conditions of the appeal process.
