The Political Reform Act (Government Code §§ 81000–91014) requires detailed disclosure regarding the role of money in California politics. This includes the reporting of contributions received and expenditures made in connection with campaigns supporting or opposing local candidates and ballot measures.
Campaign disclosure filings are public records. Any member of the public may inspect and obtain copies of these statements.
