Join us for the 23rd Annual Beautify Chula Vista Day—a powerful community cleanup event hosted by the City of Chula Vista in partnership with the South Bay Sustainable Communities Network. For more than two decades, this annual tradition has brought together thousands of dedicated volunteers to help preserve and enhance the beauty of our community.
WHAT TO EXPECT: City staff will check you in and lead a brief orientation and safety talk before you head out to collect litter. City staff will oversee sorting and disposal of collected litter. After the cleanup, you can request community service verification forms from city staff to receive volunteer hour credit.
SUPPLIES: Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes, bring sun protection and a water bottle, and come prepared for the weather. City staff will provide trash bags and disposable gloves.
WAIVERS: All volunteers must sign a release-of-liability waiver. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver. Waivers will be available at check-in.
WEATHER POLICY: Beautify Chula Vista Day is rain or shine! If rain is in the forecast, we recommend bringing rain boots, a raincoat, and a towel to dry off afterward.
