A demolition permit is required whenever a building or a structure is demolished.
Per Chula Vista Municipal Code 15.06.080, Permits, "Except as specified in subsection (B) of this section, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter and the technical codes shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a separate appropriate permit for each building, structure or building service equipment has first been obtained from the Building Official."
To request a demolition permit the following items are required:
- A completed New Construction Worksheet
- A completed SAN DIEGO REGIONAL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS QUESTIONNAIRE (If you answer "Yes" to any of the items in Part II or III, you must obtain approval from the appropriate County office as listed under Part II or III of the Questionnaire.)
- Utility disconnect notices for buildings and structures that are connected to a utility source.
- Three copies of a site plan
Permit fees are based upon valuation.
