Healthy Chula Vista
The Healthy Chula Vista Initiative's primary goal is to provide residents with tools to lead a healthier lifestyle. The City, in partnership with a variety of agencies throughout the community, intend to respond to identified barriers to healthy living options in the City and collaborate on events and efforts to promote health and well-being in the community.

In July 2016 the City of Chula Vista committed to joining the World Health Organization (WHO) and American Association of Retired Persons' (AARP) Age-Friendly Communities Network, joining hundreds of other cities, counties and countries across the world. Over the past two years we have been collecting data and learning from our community about ways to increase the livability of Chula Vista across the age spectrum.
These efforts have culminated into the City's first Action Plan which summarizes our age-friendly journey to date and provides goals for implementation over the next three years. The Action Plan adopted by City Council on July 10, 2018 will be overseen by the Joint Age-Friendly Task Force (Healthy Chula Vista Advisory Commission and Commission on Aging).
