All Short-Term Rentals (STRs) located within the City of Chula Vista must be registered and certified in accordance with Chula Vista Municipal Code (CVMC) 3.40.060. To support STR operators, the City has implemented a program that streamlines property registration and the remittance of Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT).

The City has partnered with Deckard Technologies, a nationally recognized company that specializes in identifying and monitoring Short Term Rentals. STR operators can register their properties, obtain a Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate (TOTC), and remit TOT payments through the Deckard Short Term Rental Portal. 

Short Term Rental
