Citations Issued Outside the Downtown Parking District: Chula Vista PD

You can pay your parking citation online, in person, or by mail. If sending payment by mail, we will use the post office stamp date for "date of payment".

Please remember to include your citation number with your payment. This will insure proper and timely processing of your payment.

NOTE: Parking citations issued by ACE Parking (inside the Downtown Parking District) CANNOT be paid at the City of Chula Vista Police or Finance Departments.

If your citation number begins with a P or R, please click/tap the Pay Citation Online button. The ACE Parking Citations button will take you to a page with ACE payment/appeal instructions.

    If you wish to appeal a parking citation, you must submit a completed "Request for Dismissal" form to the Finance Department by mail, email, or in person.

    Please include all documentation, such as photos, copies of disabled person’s placard with ID card, or valid parking permit. Be sure to include a copy of the ticket and your return address. You will be notified of the results by mail within 4 to 8 weeks. If your dismissal request is denied, you will have 30 days from the date of notification to pay the citation at the original amount.

    How do I pay a parking citation?

    A citation must be paid within 30 days to avoid the penalty amount.

    How long do I have to appeal a parking citation?

    You have 21 days from date of issuance to appeal the citation.

    I received a parking citation and no longer own the vehicle. What should I do?

    1. Complete the affidavit of non-liability provided on the back of the Notice of Delinquent Parking Violation;
    2. Mail the affidavit of non-liability along with the proof of sale to: Parking Citation Processing Center P.O. Box 7549 Chula Vista, CA 91912-7549

    The vehicle was rented or leased during the time of the citation issuance. What Should I do?

    1. Provide the name, address, and telephone number of the rentee/lessee and

    I am trying to pay my citation online, but the citation is not found online. Why?

    Confirm the following information is being entered correctly

    1. Citation Number (Include the “P’ or “R” prefix)
    2. Citation Date

    I recently received a parking citation that was not found in your parking system. What happens next?

    You can still send your payment by mail or make in person, be sure to include a copy of the original parking citation with your payment. Your payment will be applied after citation is entered into our parking system.

    If you prefer to pay online, we recommend checking 1-2 times per week to confirm the citation has been uploaded for payment.
