In July 2025, the City of Chula Vista launched the Pilot Shallow Rental Subsidy Program (SRSP) to support housing stability and promote aging in place for low-income older adults who are severely rent burdened. This program is designed specifically for Chula Vista residents aged 55 and older who are at risk of displacement due to rising housing costs.

While the program has reached full capacity, we encourage you to add your name to the waitlist. Joining the waitlist ensures we can contact you if openings become available.

The information you provide will also help the City better understand the housing needs of older adults in our community. This will allow us to advocate for additional resources and shape future programs that support housing stability and aging in place.
