The City of Chula Vista is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever Artist-in-Residence Program, a pilot initiative designed to foster artistic innovation, art education, and creative engagement with the community.

The pilot program will run from July 2025 through December 2025 and will host two selected visual artists. Each artist will be provided with studio space at the new Casa Casillas arts facility (located at 50 4^th Ave, Chula Vista 91910) and a monthly stipend of $1,000 for the duration of the residency.

Resident artists will create new art for Casa Casillas and other City facilities, work with staff to provide exhibitions and programs, and provide opportunities to engage with the public.
