Volunteer Opportunities - Make an impact in your community!
Opportunities to volunteer with Chula Vista Parks & Rec are available for those 15 ½ years of age or older. Individuals and groups can help on a one-day project or assist on an ongoing basis. Volunteers can assist with operations, recreation classes, youth sports, aquatics, and seniors. Some volunteer opportunities are eligible for student service learning or community service hours for school.
Applications - All volunteers and interns are required to complete an application. Applications for internships and volunteer opportunities are reviewed on an as-needed basis by the various City departments. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of placement. Applications for volunteer opportunities and internships will be kept on file for six months. If you have not been placed in a volunteer position or internship within six months, your application will be purged from the system. Please be aware, submitting multiple applications does not increase your chance for placement. Multiple application submissions within a six month period will be deleted from the system.
If you need assistance completing a job or volunteer online application, please call the Human Resources Department at (619) 691-5096.
