Chula Vista Parks & Rec has a variety of outdoor fields and courts to meet your sports and fitness needs. Whether you are looking for facilities for youth sports teams or need a little space to conduct a fitness class, with over 85 fields and 65 courts, we've got you covered.

PARK HOURS - Parks are open 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated.

RESERVATION GUIDELINES

Reservation Policy - You must be at least 21 years old to reserve a park or obtain a permit for City of Chula Vista parks. Be sure to bring your permit with you on the day of your event. Park Ranger staff may request this document at any time during your event.
Reservation Window - Reservations must be made 7 days prior to your event date and can be made up to 6 months in advance.
Cancellation Policy - Cancellations made 7 or more business days in advance will receive a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 7 business days in advance will only be refunded the cleaning/damage deposit.
Permit Requirements - A permit is needed for all organized activity within a City Park. Organized shall be defined as any of the following:
- Regularly scheduled or reoccurring
- Scheduled or promoted in advance
- Conducted or directed by an individual or organization
- Instructional or directional in nature
- 25 or more participants
Field & Court Fees
- Non-Prime Time (Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Sunday All Day)
  - CV Resident/ Non-Profit $18/hr
  - Non-Res/ For-Profit $34/hr
- Prime Time (Monday-Friday 5pm-10pm, Saturday All Day, City Recognized Holidays All Day)
  - CV Resident/ Non-Profit $34/hr
  - Non-Res/ For-Profit $67/hr

STEPS TO RESERVE

Fill Out the Application Forms
- Download and complete the forms below, then submit to bmora@chulavistaca.gov.
  - Application For Facility Use/ Group Organization Liablity Waiver
  - Insurance Requirements
- If you’re applying as a non-profit organization, include a copy of your non-profit status with your application.
Setup and Takedown
- Be sure to include time for setup and takedown in your rental request. The reserved space will only be made available during the times listed on the application.
Secure Your Reservation
- Once your application is approved, you will be invoiced via email for all permit fees.
Payment
- Payment must be made within 24 hours.

Reservation Information

Park reservation applicants must be 18+ years old.
Reservations must be made 7 days prior to your event date and can be made up to 6 months in advance.
Keep your permit with you at your event; Staff may request it at any time
Please allow up to 30 days for all refunds.
If your reserved area is occupied, please call the Park Ranger line at (619) 587-2318 for assistance.

Rules & Regulations

The following guidelines are designated to support field and court reservations. They are not intended to be all inclusive or cover every rule. Parks & Rec reserves the right to make adjustments to these guidelines at any time.

1. Field use is ONLY valid for dates, times, and location listed on the permit.
2. All coaches must have a valid printed or digital copy of permit on site during use.
3. Permits are non-transferable. No brokering, sharing fields, or sub-leasing fields is allowed.
4. Organizations must comply with field closure notices at all times (weather, maintenance, etc).
5. Organizations are responsible for the conduct of all coaches and personnel.
6. The City may restrict usage on some fields based on age of participants, number of teams, number of players
7. Rotate game and practices areas. Re-stripe game fields and relocate goal areas periodically to prevent wear.
8. Inspect and walk fields before every use. Report any hazards to the Park Ranger (619) 587-2318. After hours, please contact Police non-emergency (619) 691-5151.
9. Equipment cannot be set up before the park opens and must be removed from the park at the end of each day.
10. Pick up and dispose of any trash after each use.
11. No vehicles are allowed on fields at any time.
12. No portable or temporary lighting without written approval from Parks and Recreation.
13. No posting signs or banners.
14. The City reserves the right to make changes to these guidelines at any time.
15. Failure to adhere to these guidelines or any other park rules will result in loss of allocation.

* Tournament rentals of Mount San Miguel Park requires a 6 hour per day minimum. Rental rates include initial ball field preparation and one on-site City staff.

**City staff must be present throughout the duration of the tournament. These Staff fees will be charged at Full Cost Recovery and added to the rental.

Active Recreation Areas

Chula Vista Parks & Rec permits recreational use of park space for both formal and informal activities. Such space includes, but is not limited to Active Recreation Areas. Each Active Recreation Area is designated for the sole purpose of fitness training and recreational type activities (non-sports). These guidelines are intended for those small groups and/or fitness professionals who are interested in obtaining a permit to conduct outdoor fitness training in City parks.
