Arson and Sex Registration

Arson Registrants (pursuant to California Penal Code 457.1) and Sex Offenders (pursuant to California Penal Code section 290) residing in or planning to reside in the City of Chula Vista must register with the Chula Vista Police Department Family Protection Unit Sex Registrant Division within 5 calendar days.  Initial registration, annual renewals, changes in information, travel requests and notifications must be completed in person and by appointment ONLY. 

If you are a registered sex offender or an arson registrant and need to register with the City of Chula Vista please call (619) 691-5214. Registrants must provide their name, date-of-birth and a valid/active phone number where you can be reached. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response.

Sex registrants registering as transient MUST register in person every 30 days.  Transient sex offender registration updates are offered on a walk-in basis on Wednesdays from 8:30AM – 11:00AM.

All registrations are conducted at the Chula Vista Police Department, 315 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista.
