Mobile businesses perform services at various locations throughout the City and may not have a permanent storefront within the City.

Mobile businesses have the potential to pollute storm water through their everyday business activities. By implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs), mobile businesses can prevent storm water pollution.

All mobile businesses that have the potential to pollute or utilize water as a part of their business operations must do the following to receive storm water approval for their business license:

Read the City of Chula Vista Municipal Code Chapter 14.20 - Storm Water Management and Discharge Control
Complete the Storm Water Certification Statement

Businesses listed below are common business types that are considered to be mobile businesses in the City. If your business is one of those listed, a Storm Water Certification Statement must be completed for your business.

Building Maintenance
Cabinet Shop/Installation
Carpet, Drape, or Furniture Cleaning
Cleaning Services
Construction Related
Contractor - General/Specialty
Fire Equipment and Sprinkler Maintenance
Flooring
Food Trucks & Food Vendors

Handyman
Landscaping
Painting
Pet Grooming
Pest Control Services
Plumbing & HVAC
Pool, Spa, and Fountain Maintenance
Portable Sanitary Services
Power Washing Services
Any mobile business that utilizes water or generates pollutants
