Chula Vista Municipal Code Section 8.25.070 requires all commercial and industrial establishments that self-haul recyclable materials to submit recycling tonnage documentation to the city on an annual basis for the previous calendar year.

If you do not self-haul any materials, check the box below and then submit the form to the city. Should you have questions, please call (619) 691-5122.

This form is due on or before January 31, 2026. Failure to comply may result in enforcement action.

Tons Recycled Facility name where materials were taken
Food Waste: Fruit and vegetable trimmings, meats, seafood, breads, pastas, dairy, spent brewing grains, and pre-consumer food waste.
Fiber: Corrugated cardboard, paper; newsprint, office, computer, magazines, mixed paper.
Metals: Empty food & beverage containers; steel, tin, aluminum, bi-metal (including empty aerosol and paint cans). Scrap metals; appliances, display racks, carts, copper or other demolition salvage.
Plastics: Empty food & beverage containers; PET #1, HDPE #2, 5-gallon HDPE buckets, and other plastics.
Yard Waste: Tree trimmings, grass clippings, non-painted and non-treated lumber, pre-consumer food waste, donated food and food products.
